As part of the localisation and accessibility process for one of Netflix's most acclaimed productions, we worked with transcription and subtitle creation for The Crown. A series where every pause, glance, political nuance and emotional shift carries meaning.
Subtitle writing is often invisible when done well. Yet it requires a unique combination of linguistic precision, cultural understanding and storytelling instinct. Every sentence must be accurate, concise and perfectly timed, while preserving the original tone, emotion and intent.
Working with premium content at this level demands attention to detail, consistency and respect for both the audience and the creators' vision. It is not simply translation. It is adaptation, interpretation and narrative craftsmanship.
This project strengthened my belief that communication is rarely about saying more. It is about saying exactly what needs to be said, in the right moment, with the right words.
