Background
About the project

Design, functionality and care — built for the most vulnerable.

The solution addressed critical needs within neonatal care: maintaining warmth in incubators while enabling seamless skin-to-skin contact without removing the garment. The design minimized pressure marks and irritation on highly sensitive skin, improving both medical practicality and emotional bonding between parent and child.

The concept was awarded a global scholarship and further supported through funding for patent development, recognizing both its innovation and real-world impact. It gained international media attention and was selected for presentation at leading design platforms, including Milan Design Week and Dutch Design Week, where it was exhibited through a digital 3D installation during the pandemic.
